Children's Books: Recommendations from a 6 year olds perspective

Ratburger - David Walliams

Zoe is a little girl who loves her hamster.  She has grand plans for him.  When he dies Zoe is very upset, but Armitage comes along just at the right time.  Burt the burger man tries to destroy Armitage, but good always outwits evil in another of David Walliam's fantastic stories.  I fell in love with Armitage, although I am not sure my mum will let me have a rat in the house either!  I think all children aged 6 and upwards will enjoy this story.  Even my mum did!

Currently reading - The day I became the most wanted boy in the world - Tom McLaughlin

This book was fantastic!  I was gripped from the start and it was so funny.  He just keeps getting further into trouble.  I have given it to my grandma to read as I was laughing out loud all the time. I think it is suitable for 6 years and up.

Where the Bugaboo lives - Sean Taylor

This is an interactive book which lets the reader decide which path to take.  One that I have read and read over and over again.  I love choosing different paths and being given different options.      3 - 7 year olds

They came from the planet Zabalooloo - Sean Taylor & Kate Hindley

Another Sean Taylor book that I absolutely love reading.  It is funny, naughty and makes me laugh when my mum does funny voices.  3 - 7 year olds

The dog who lost his bark - P.J. Lynch

I'm busy reading it and will let you know what I think the minute I finish.

I am busy reading this and will let you know what I think when I am finished.
